DOCSIS-EuroDOCSIS 3 Cable Modem
DOCSIS-EuroDOCSIS 3 Cable Modem | DOCSIS 3 was originally released in August 2006 to support IPv6 and to revise the standard to significantly increase transmissions speeds (both upstream and downstream). The original version of DOCSIS 2.0 was revised to enhance upstream transmission speed to support the IP telephony.
DOCSIS-EuroDOCSIS 3 Cable Modem | As frequency allocation band plans differ between U.S. and European CATV systems, DOCSIS standards have been modified for use in Europe which is under the name of “EuroDOCSIS”. Mostly Cable modems are designed to comply with both DOCSIS and EuroDOCSIS. Even though not all the Cable providers are upgraded their technology with the current DOCSIS 3, they still can use the DOCSIS 3 modems which are backward compatible with the DOCSIS 2.0 or DOCSIS 1.0.
The following are some of the Cable modems which are designed with the DOCSIS 3 technology and also backward compatible with the previous DOCSIS version.
